Are there any time limits or hourly restrictions on the TiscaliSat service?
There are no restrictions regarding time of day or hours of usage. TiscaliSat is available 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, 365 days per year (subject to outage and planned maintenance periods). The service itself is designed for unlimited use for standard Internet browsing, such as HTTP connections using HTML and ASP files, as well as FTP transactions.

Are there any activities which will be prohibited on the TiscaliSat service?
In consideration for all TiscaliSat Internet users, TiscaliSat reserves the right to limit "bandwidth hog" activities such as audio and video streaming, and automatic file exchange applications (file-sharing). Refer to the terms and conditions of the service for more information on restricted activities.

Are there any applications that will work differently in the TiscaliSat network?
Yes. Certain applications do not perform efficiently in a satellite-delivered environment, such as voice/video over IP, VPN services, certain online interactive games (particularly "shooter" games that depend on split-second responsiveness for the "survival" of the player), and applications that use non-TCP/IP protocols (such as IPX/SPX). We do not recommend TiscaliSat for the use of real-time gaming or virtual private networking.

Can I host a Web site on a PC connected to a satellite system?
No. Because connection speeds using the satellite platform are essentially asymmetric (i.e., they are much faster coming into the PC than going out from it), we do not allow you to use your satellite-connected PC for hosting a Web site. However, you may have a personal Web site hosted by Tiscali or another outside provider. Refer to the terms and conditions of the service for more information on restricted activities.

Does TiscaliSat provide e-mail or web-space services?
Yes. TiscaliSat offers e-mail and web-space services for its customers. Exact specifications for these can be found on your local Tiscali web-site.

If I already subscribe to Tiscali's dial-up service, will changing my subscription to satellite prolong my minimum contract duration period?
There will be a minimum contract period associated with the satellite service. We are developing favorable terms in each country for upgrading from one product to another.

Will TiscaliSat service be disrupted if the satellite dish antenna is accidentally knocked out of alignment?
Yes, your service will be disrupted. An improperly aligned antenna may cause significant interference with other satellite transmissions, resulting in reduced performance for you and/or other customers using the same satellite. It is possible you may not notice a change in performance, but may be causing significant interference for other customers. Your TiscaliSat satellite dish antenna may be knocked out of alignment due to acts of nature (such as high winds or earthquakes) or individuals moving the dish by accident.

What will happen if an improperly aligned antenna causes interference?
As noted in the question above, the improper alignment of an antenna may result in reduced performance for you and/or other customers using the same satellite. When an improper antenna alignment is detected, strict guidelines mandate that TiscaliSat temporarily shut down your service to stop the interference. Your service may be shut down on very short notice and can only be re-activated after a maintenance technician has visited your home to re-align the dish antenna.

Is the TiscaliSat service affected by rain?
TiscaliSat service will be up and running 99.5% of the time. However, like satellite television services, your TiscaliSat service can be affected by rain, but only if it is a very heavy downpour. Cloudy days and light to moderate rain will not affect your TiscaliSat service. During a very heavy downpour, you may notice degraded performance, and occasionally the service may even stop altogether for a few minutes as the peak of the downpour passes over.
